Skies of Arcadia is being tipped for an HD re-release after Sega renewed the game's trademark.

The application for renewal was accepted in July by the US Patent and Trademark Office. It was spotted by a NeoGAF user.

Sega teased a Skies of Arcadia HD port earlier this year, alongside a re-release of Shemnue.

"I can tell you what it's going to be: Shenmue, and Skies of Arcadia as well," revealed Sega's Ben Harborne back in March.

"So those are a couple of our most requested games. I can't say yes or no, but we may be working on them."

Sega has been dipping into its Dreamcast library to produce HD ports for Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network, previously releasing Sonic Adventure, Crazy Taxi, Space Channel 5: Part 2 and Sega Bass Fishing.

Jet Set Radio HD, meanwhile, releases later this month, ahead of Sonic Adventure 2 and NiGHTS into DREAMS.
