The 'Armored Kill' launch trailer showcases the vehicular combat, featuring action from tanks, planes and ATVs.
It also looks at the new maps, including the largest combat zone in Battlefield history, as well as the Tank Superiority game mode.
The brand new mode sees players command heavy vehicles in order to control different points on the map.
'Armored Kill' also adds five new drivable vehicles including mobile artillery, tanks and ATVs, as well as a mobile gunship spawn point.
It will be followed by Battlefield 3 'Aftermath' in December and Battlefield 3 'End Game' next March.
PS3 Premium subscribers can download 'Armored Kill' today (September 4), while PC and Xbox 360 Premium members can access it next week.
It launches for non-Premium PS3 members on September 18, while Xbox 360 and PC owners will have to wait until September 25.

All DLC will be included in the recently announced Battlefield 3: Premium Edition.
It includes the core game, a Battlefield Premium subscription with access to all DLC content, and a multiplayer welcome pack.
Beta testing for the recently confirmed sequel will be available to users who pre-order the Limited Edition version of Medal of Honor Warfighter.
