The theme park construction and management game will be available from October 16 in North America and from October 26 across Europe.
It will feature a brand new mode called Coaster Story, which will combine tutorials and park challenges through a narrative to teach players the basics, and enable them to discover special unlockable content.
The game will use the 3DS Streetpass feature for sharing custom built rollercoasters with friends, as well as allowing any Mii met through Streetpass to visit the theme park.
Players can also ride their custom rollercoasters in a new first-person mode and take pictures of themselves on the rides to send to friends.
Rollercoaster Tycoon 3D is the revival of the Rollercoaster Tycoon series that debuted on PC in 1999, and has since seen two sequels and several expansions.
