The latest Rocksmith video diary features members of The Suburbians, who sample the game's bass mode and multiplayer.
After attempting a bass-related technique challenge, the band's bassist plays alongside the guitarist on Black Keys song 'Next Girl'.
The two guitarists then compete for high scores in Rolling Stones track 'Satisfaction'.
Impressed by the ability to learn both bass and guitar, the band suggest that Rocksmith could give some people the drive and motivation to continue playing.
The Suburbians are currently in the studio recording a second album and are planning a tour for November.
Announced by Ubisoft last year, Rocksmith will be available for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on September 28.
The UK release will feature an expanded tracklist, including the 45 tracks from the North American release plus additional content from more than 50 songs by artists including David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, Nirvana and Muse.
It is already available in North America, where it can be purchased as part of a bundle with an Epiphone Les Paul Junior guitar.
