'Borderlands 2' skill tree builder launches

Borderlands 2's skill tree builder has gone live ahead of the game's release later this month.

Gearbox Software has enabled players to customise their characters in advance by logging on it its official website.



Skill trees for each of the game's classes are currently available for users to hand-pick preferred skills and abilities. Functionality updates will be added to the service next week.

Borderlands 2 boasts a 58-hour campaign that will take players to previously unseen regions of the planet Pandora.

A number of special editions will be available, including the Borderlands 2 Deluxe Vault Hunter's Collector's Edition and the Ultimate Loot Chest Limited Edition.

Borderlands 2 will be available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on September 18 in North America and on September 21 across Europe.
