In addition to the online multiplayer modes, the game will feature local multiplayer using the Wii U gamepad to give two players their own screen without the need for splitscreen play.
Announced earlier this year, Black Ops 2 is set during a 21st century Cold War and will also release on November 13 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
The game's campaign will feature usable drones and horses, as well as a robot enemy forced to fight in a devastated Los Angeles.
Multiplayer, meanwhile, will utilise a new scoring system in place of the traditional killstreaks, with dozens of rewards on offer for high scoring players.
The Wii U will launch on November 18 in North America and November 30 in Europe. It will be available in two bundles priced at $299 and $349.
