Narrated by creative director Jean Max-Morris, the Tokyo Game Show trailer explores the title's custom combo feature.
Moves can be put together in the game's combo lab and are linked to health and the memory overload system.
The trailer also demonstrates how to deal with different enemies, including foes with shields and flying bots.
Announced at gamescom, Remember Me is a third-person action-adventure set in Neo-Paris in the year 2084, where memories and senses can be traded over a network run by a corporation called Memoreyes.
Players take on the role of a female 'memory hunter' named Nilin, who has had her memory stolen and must battle Memoreyes with the help of a residence group to claim it back.
The game is an original property designed by French developer Dontnod Studio with former Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six and Heavy Rain personnel overseeing the project.
Dontnod Studio first approached Sony to publish the title on PlayStation platforms, but Sony passed on the project.
Remember Me will be released for PS3 and Xbox 360 in May 2013.
