Developed by Australian studio Trickstar, the official game of next year's Ashes series will be released for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC next summer.
Ashes Cricket 2013 will feature licences from both the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and Cricket Australia (CA), as well as player likenesses and venues.
The game will also be playable in local and online multiplayer with up to four people.
Keen to attract new fans to cricket, ECB's John Perera said of the game: "The ECB is committed to bringing new fans into the sport, and the Ashes Cricket 2013 game will do just that in conjunction with the real thing.
"Most of the current England side are keen gamers, and will no doubt be spending a lot of time playing it whilst preparing for the real thing come the summer," he added.
Cricket-based video games have been few and far between since Ashes Cricket 2009 and International Cricket 2010.
