Taking place on a ship called Eudora, the latest video is narrated by the game's creative director and senior audio artist.
The single-player gameplay demo begins with Issac attempting to escape the ship by flying through masses of debris, before entering a combat situation with the Necromorphs.
Announced earlier this year, Dead Space 3 is developed by Visceral Games and has a strong co-op focus with players able to drop in and out of online sessions at will.
A weapons-crafting mechanic will enable users to customise their arsenal by gathering raw material and tools to hone their guns according to personal preference.
The Dead Space 3 Limited Edition collection grants users first access to two game bundles - 'First Contact' and 'Witness the Truth', which include bonus weapons and special items.
Dead Space 3 will be available for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on February 5 in North America and February 8 in Europe.
