Developed by Just Add Water, the remake of the PSone classic was created in 3D with dynamic lighting techniques but retains the classic 2D gameplay of the original.

Other improvements include the addition of subtler camera movements to show off more of the environments, in place of the flipscreen scrolling of old, a quick save system, more balanced gameplay and "friendlier" puzzles.
"The nice thing is we're not reinventing the wheel," Just Add Water's Stewart Gilray told Eurogamer. "We know the wheel. We're just putting better spokes on it."
The project was previously in the works as Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee HD! but the HD was dropped for the title because the developers did not want to give the impression that they were merely upscaling an existing game.
Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee New N' Tasty is released for PlayStation 3, PS Vita, PC and Xbox 360 next autumn.
