To accompany the announcement, Ubisoft has released a launch trailer, showcasing some of the expansion's new features.
Costing 400 Microsoft Points (£3.40 / $5), the DLC features 36 new courses, new skill games, roughly 100 course editor items and BMX bikes.
The add-on takes place on a tropical island littered with crashed planes, huge boats and debris. New interiors, meanwhile, include a big-top circus.
'Origins of Pain' was announced last month alongside Trials Evolution: Gold Edition, which will release on PC in 2013.
Gold Edition will feature all content from this year's Xbox Live Arcade release, including tracks, leaderboards, multiplayer and an in-depth level editor.
It will also include all content from the 2009 XBLA game Trials HD, for a total of over 120 tracks and skill challenges.
