Announced last month, the PS3 port will be available to download from October 9 in North America and the day after in Europe.
Costing £9.99 / $14.99, the PSN version contains a ten-hour bonus campaign called Joe Danger: Gaiden, a challenging game mode based on the original prototype.
The new game mode features levels from the first game, as well as experimental missions deemed too challenging or quirky for the main release.
Free from tutorials and hand holding, the 25 new levels see users play as Joe's rivals Team Nasty.
Each contains Pro Medals, while some will feature hidden challenges, including one mission involving a monkey on a jetpack.
The PS3 release also contains YouTube support, improved level-editing and smoother difficulty spikes.
Joe Danger 2: The Movie sees Joe racing and performing stunts through stages that make up the scenes of a film. Completing each act rewards players with a movie trailer based on their actions.
The game features over 100 stages, along with 50 characters and 20 vehicles. Highlights include monkeys on skis, a cupcake on a motorbike and a bear riding a unicycle.
There is also an online level share feature, where the player's own custom stages and level replays can be created and sent to friends.
Joe Danger 2: The Movie is out now on Xbox Live Arcade for 1200 MS Points (£10.80/$15).
