'Simpsons' to become year's top-seller?

As film-goers prepare to witness the antics of Bart, Homer and Marge on the big screen this summer, gaming giant Electronic Arts is expecting the game of the film becoming its best-selling release of 2007.

Few details have yet been announced on the game, but expectations are high that it will be launched July 27 to coincide with the release of the movie.

The Simpsons have already proved themselves a winner in the games world, with Vivendi's Hit and Run topping the two million sales mark in the UK alone.

And despite the game's release in 2003, over 300,000 copies were sold during 2006 - three years after its initial launch.
