The video gives a first look at the Wii U action adventure game and its 3DS cross-platform features.
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will feature online play for up to four players on Wii U, as well as local cross-platform play between both the Wii U and 3DS versions. Players will also be able to transfer saved data between the two versions.
The touchscreen on both platforms allows players to access weapons, field maps, mini-games and books quickly.
Previously announced as Monster Hunter 3G, the game is an enhanced port of Monster Hunter Tri on Wii with a multitude of new monsters, quests and items.
It was originally scheduled for an autumn 3DS release in Europe, but has been pushed back.
Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate will release in North America and Europe from March 2013 on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
