The one-world racer's creative director Craig Sullivan revealed that once players take down all of the Most Wanted cars they become the most infamous driver, but can continue playing indefinitely to earn points.
"Yes, you can take down all the Most Wanted cars and that is an end. You become the Most Wanted driver. But that is not really the end. You can continue playing the game and earning points," Sullivan told Digital Spy.
"You can play this game for hundreds of hours, and that is even before getting into multiplayer. We had people playing Burnout Paradise for 500 or 600 hours. If you have enough friends who also want to play the game, you can play Most Wanted forever."
Criterion previously described the game as a "social" and "connected" experience, explaining that the decision to set the racer against an open-world backdrop was an easy one.
Need for Speed: Most Wanted will be released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on October 30 in North America and November 2 in Europe.
