Xbox 360 UK price cut ruled out for 2012

By
The Xbox 360 will not see a price drop for the rest of the year in the UK, Microsoft has confirmed.

Microsoft recently announced a $50 price drop on its Xbox 360 systems in North America, including for Kinect and holiday bundles.

However, when asked if a similar price drop would be in effect across Europe, Microsoft denied any cut to MCV.

Instead, Microsoft confirmed the six Xbox 360 console bundles for this holiday season, none of which show a price drop of any kind.

The Xbox 360 system bundles include:
  • 4GB White Gloss bundle - £149
  • 4GB Kinect Holiday Value bundle including Kinect, Kinect Adventures and Kinect Disneyland - £249
  • 4GB Kinect and Nike+ Kinect Training bundle - £269
  • 250GB Holiday Value bundle inc. Skyrim and Forza 4 - £199
  • 250 Kinect Holiday bundle including Kinect, Kinect Adventures, Dance Central 2 and Kinect Sports - £299
  • 320GB Halo 4 Limited Edition console - £269
Microsoft had announced the Halo 4 Limited Edition console earlier this year, which includes a specially designed Xbox 360 console, a copy of the game, downloadable Halo 4 extras and two custom controllers. The console even has custom sound effects from the game for powering on and ejecting a disc.

Halo 4 is set four years after the events of its predecessor and marks the return of iconic hero Master Chief, representing the beginning of a brand new saga.

Named 'Best Shooter' and 'Best Multiplayer' during Digital Spy's Best of E3 2012 awards, Halo 4 will be available exclusively on Xbox 360 from November 6 worldwide.
