'PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale' public beta arrives this week

By
PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will receive a public beta this week.

The beta will begin for PlayStation Plus subscribers on PlayStation 3 from Tuesday (October 16) in North America and Wednesday (October 17) across Europe. The beta will then become available to all PlayStation 3 users the following week on October 23 and 24 respectively for each region.

As a bonus, the public beta will launch this week for all PS Vita owners, regardless of whether they are a PS Plus subscriber or not.

The beta will provide access to six fighters, Kratos, Sweet Tooth, Colonel Radec, Sly Cooper, PaRappa and Fat Princess.

Players will be able to enter either four player free-for-all matches or two vs two team matches on two different fighting arenas.

Like the final game, the beta will allow for cross-platform play, so users on PS3 and PS Vita will be able to compete locally and online starting this week.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will release for both PlayStation 3 and PS Vita on November 20 in North America and on November 23 in the UK.
