Mike Singleton has passed away after a battle with cancer.
Known for The Lords of Midnight and Midwinter, the 61-year-old British developer died last Wednesday (October 10) in Switzerland.
Christopher Jon Wild, who ported Lords of Midnight to the PC, posted on his blog: "Tonight has shaken me in a way that I would never have expected and I already badly miss my friend."
Wild and Singleton were working on an iOS version of The Lords of Midnight, though Wild added that he is unsure about the future of the project.
The programmer stated: "Part of me says, let's call it a day. Let's leave the memory where it is - one of the greatest, but overlooked games of all time by one of the the best, but under-appreciated, developer there has ever been.
"I don't know if I can still work on the game without Mike being involved."
Singleton was also known for Doomdark's Revenge, Carrier Command and Starlord.
