The Wii U version of Scribblenauts Unlimited will exclusively feature Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Link, Zelda, Epona and a Goron as words players can summon in the game.
The characters will behave as they would in their respective games, presumably meaning Mario will jump, Yoshi will eat, Link will attack and Epona will act like a horse.
The only limitation is that players will not be able to customise the Nintendo mascots with adjectives, which most likely means they will also not be appearing in the game's object editor mode either.
Publisher Warner Bros Interactive also hinted at items from Nintendo franchises making an appearance, though no examples were given. Even if players cannot summon a giant Mario, perhaps summoning a mushroom will have the same effect.
Scribblenauts Unlimited was confirmed as part of the Wii U launch lineup, and will be available when the Wii U launches November 18 in North America and November 30 in Europe.
The game will also be available on Nintendo 3DS and PC during the holiday season.
