A note in the latest 'Iwata Asks' blog post confirms that Pikmin 3 is scheduled for "Spring 2013".
The anticipated Wii U game had previously been confirmed for the system's launch window, which extended from November through March 2013. Since it is now said to arrive in the spring, a March launch seems likely.
The same 'Iwata Asks' interview also revealed new details about the range of the Wii U Gamepad.
Nintendo recently confirmed that the Wii U will launch on November 18 in North America and November 30 in Europe with a basic model and Premium bundle.
The basic pack includes a white Wii U console with 8GB of memory, a Wii U gamepad, AC adapter and a HDMI cable.
The Premium set will offer the system in black with 32GB of memory, a copy of Nintendo Land, Wii U sensor bar, a gamepad charging cradle, stands for the gamepad and console and Nintendo Network Premium membership.
