Similar to Doodle Jump, the iOS game sees players guide Sonic up a series of platforms using tilt controls.

The Story mode includes three worlds, starting with the classic Green Hill Zone, as players jump to the top of pre-set stages. Each Story world also features a boss battle against Dr Eggman (or Robotnik for long-time fans).
There is also an Arcade mode where players compete for a high score in online leaderboards.
Players will also have missions to complete, such as finishing a level in under 40 seconds, which will earn experience to unlock new power-ups and characters through the in-game store.
Sonic Jump is available on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch now for £1.49 ($1.99).
