'Minecraft' more popular than 'Modern Warfare 3', 'FIFA' on Xbox Live

Minecraft is the most popular game on Xbox Live, it has emerged.

Based on unique users in the past week, more people are playing the downloadable sandbox title than Modern Warfare 3 and FIFA 13.



As well as topping the Xbox Live Arcade sales chart, a series of Minecraft clones are currently dominating on the Xbox Live Indie Games marketplace.

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition broke sales records when it launched earlier this year, and passed sales of three million in June.

It was given the 'Adventure' update last week, adding villages, strongholds, abandoned mineshafts and a Creative mode.
