Hamleys host Sonic launch weekend

London store Hamleys is joining forces with GAME to hold a weekend of surprises to celebrate the launch of Sonic and the Secret Rings on Nintendo Wii, starting tomorrow.

Customers visiting the store will have the chance to meet Sega's most famous hedgehog, as well as being offered the chance to take part in a number of competitions including the chance to win a Nintendo Wii and a copy of the game.

The store is also promising those keen to buy a Nintendo Wii that they will have them in stock, following reports that gamers who tried to buy a Wii have found many stores sold out.

The event, which will take place Friday and Saturday, is expected to draw large crowds of gamers eager to try out Sega's new flagship title.
