The video confirms the 3DS sequel's official English title, and shows the game's new features.
In the new game, players will become the mayor of their own town, giving them options to change the town's layout or set shop prices and closing times.
Expanded customisation features let players create their own patterns for clothing and for the first time also use those patterns for furniture, such as the quilt on a bed.
A new tropical island will be available, where players can find new items and wildlife, as well as make use of the new swimming feature.
While the game has a November release date in Japan, no date has been given for the North American or European release.
Animal Crossing: New Leaf will be available in the first half of 2013 on Nintendo 3DS.
