The latest Hitman video made its debut at this year's Golden Joystick Awards, where Skyrim was voted 'Ultimate Game of the Year'.
Largely consisting of cutscene footage, the trailer explores Agent 47's motives, ending with the tagline: "How many lives will you take, to save one?"
The first new Hitman game in six years, Hitman: Absolution will include new gameplay features, improved enemy intelligence and a new 'Instinct' mode that will help players blend into certain roles.
Described as the most ambitious game in the series yet, the stealth title features a "living and breathing world, where every moment can become a story".
IO Interactive told Digital Spy that Hitman: Absolution will have a "more personal story" than previous games.
Hitman: Absolution will be available on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC from November 20 worldwide.
Pre-order customers can also bag the Hitman Sniper Challenge mini-game, as well as the recently announced Hitman Absolution Deluxe Professional Edition.
