The virtual brick adaptation of the epic film trilogy will arrive from November 13 in North America and November 23 in Europe.
Announced earlier this year, LEGO Lord of the Rings encompasses the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy and features co-op multiplayer, as well as the series' usual dose of humour.
Players will be able to drop into key levels from a map of Middle Earth, allowing them to return to previous areas and complete side objectives. A new backpack system will allow players to store special items found during the adventure, granting characters new abilities that they may not otherwise possess.
For the first time in the LEGO series, LEGO Lord of the Rings will feature actual dialogue taken from the films and performed by the original actors. Traveller's Tales' last game, LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, also featured voiced dialogue, but this will be the first LEGO game using original voices from the source material.
LEGO Lord of the Rings will be available on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, Nintendo DS, 3DS, PS Vita and PC.
