Game designer Julian Gollop announced over Twitter that he is working on a follow-up to the 1985 ZX Spectrum classic.
"Okay it's official! I am working on a sequel/remake to my classic ZX Spectrum game Chaos - for iOS, PC, Mac - maybe more," he wrote.
Gollop confirmed that the new game will be a rendered in 3D and feature combat that is "very close to the original", with some refinements.
Chaos: The Battle of Wizards was a turn-based strategy game with a high fantasy theme, published by Games Workshop. The game received an earlier sequel, Lords of Chaos, in 1990.
Gollop and his brother Nick are best known as the creators of popular sci-fi strategy X-COM: UFO Defence, which recently spawned the current generation XCOM: Enemy Unknown.
