"We're in early stages of designing a completely new Mass Effect game. What would you want to see in it?" reads Hudson's Twitter post.

Fans have suggested having multiple playable races, covering the Prothean/Reaper war, and moving away from the series's third-person shooter gameplay.

It's the second time the Mass Effect team has asked for fan feedback, having earlier expressed an interest in revisiting the universe.

The news comes ahead of the release of the Mass Effect 3 'Omega' DLC, which will be available from November 27 on Xbox 360 and PC, and November 28 on PlayStation 3.

Mass Effect 3 will be a Wii U launch title, and is also available as part of the recently released Mass Effect Trilogy.
