The deluxe version of the BioWare-developed action-RPG will serve as a launch title for Nintendo's upcoming console.
Mass Effect 3: Special Edition will take full advantage of the Wii U hardware, allowing players to carry out commands and perform attacks using the GamePad controller.
Bonus features include an extra mission and squad member, exclusive weaponry, the Extended Cut ending previously issued as DLC, and an interactive backstory.
BioWare recently confirmed that the upcoming 'Omega' DLC for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game will be approximately double the size of previous expansions.
The studio has also launched an appeal for fan feedback to help it develop the next entry in the series.
Mass Effect 3: Special Edition is released for Wii U on November 18 in North America and November 30 in Europe.
