Halo 4 debuts as all-format number one, fails to outsell predecessors

Halo 4 has made its debut at the top of the all-format weekly chart.

Despite outselling last week's multiplatform number one Assassin's Creed 3 in first-week sales, the latest Halo failed to match week-one sales of predecessors Halo 3 and Halo: Reach.

Elsewhere, FIFA 13 drops to third and Borderlands 2 climbs 11 places to re-enter the top 10, charting below WWE 13 and Skylanders Giants.

LittleBigPlanet Karting, meanwhile, fails to make the top 20 in its first week on sale, debuting at 24.
