'Xploder' to convert PC media for PS3
Published Monday, Mar 12 2007, 14:29 GMT | By David Gibbon

Xploder HD Movie Player and Media Manager will, according to its maker Fire, "allow you to start converting your PC based media now; so that once you’ve ripped off the packaging and marvelled at the PS3’s capabilities, you’re able to try the media features for yourself by having your movies, music and images pre-converted to transfer straight across to the PS3."
The tool will enable users to convert a plethora of movie file types into the required .MP4 format for PS3 - including HD movies and non-protected DVDs. Formats such as DivX, MPEG, WMV, AVI, Xvid, ASF, M1P & M2P files can also be converted.
In addition, the unit will feature a fully updatable cheats database covering a host of PS2 and PS3 cheat saves, so will be all ready for those up and coming launch titles.
