“The additions of Tony Hawk’s Project 8 – the premiere skateboarding title - and Carom3D – the ultimate interactive billiards experience – are the coup de grace to what is the most prolific lineup of games in e-Sports competition history,” said Hyoung-Seok Kim, CEO of International Cyber Marketing (ICM), the global organizer of WCG. “Our diverse and expanding lineup of titles has something for everyone and will certainly make this the most exciting and compelling WCG tournament ever.”
“WCG is a worldwide event open to all game lovers, from casual gamers to hardcore and pro-gamers. In the spirit of fair competition, we invite everyone to visit our Website to help us form a set of rules for each game in order to provide the best game-playing experience possible,” Kim added.
The tournament, which features online and offline events held throughout the world, is a year-long series which attracted more than 1.3 million competitors worldwide in 2006. The 2006 WCG Grand Finals in Monza, Italy broke new ground as more than 24 million people tuned in to watch the competition unfold in real-time, marking the first-ever global, live satellite broadcast for an e-Sports event.
Players are invited to visit the 'World Cyber Games' official website from March 12 to 20 to provide opinions and comments on each game’s competition guidelines
