Created by artist Aled Lewis, the images mirror scenes from famous films such as The Karate Kid, Rocky and Reservoir Dogs.
The movie mash-ups feature Sony characters including Kratos, SackBoy, Fat Princess, Jak and Daxter.
"I was thrilled to be asked to design three pieces for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale - I've always been an avid video game player and a huge fan of the 8-Bit look of the early generations of games," explained Lewis.
"The pixelated designs as a kid allowed for your mind to wander and offer scope for what the characters might really look like.
"In keeping with this and in appreciation for the original game artists I wanted to use this style when creating these iconic images."
The game features a roster of 20 playable fighters from PlayStation's top franchises, including Ratchet, Sackboy, Jak, Fat Princess, Sly Cooper, Dante from Devil May Cry, Colonel Radec from Killzone, Parappa the Rapper, Kratos from God of War, Nathan Drake from Uncharted, Sweet Tooth from Twisted Metal, the Big Daddy from Bioshock, both good and evil Cole from Infamous and Raiden from Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
Sony announced at gamescom 2012 that PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will enable the Cross-Buy feature, giving users a free copy of the game on PlayStation 3 or Vita when purchased for the other system.
PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale's release date was previously hit with a delay, and will now release on November 20 in North America and on November 23 in the UK.
