The update fixes respawn issues, bugs which would see users fail objectives and mission-breaking glitches.

The patch, which can be downloaded now, also contains platform-specific fixes, eliminating bugs and crashes found within the game's DLC.

More details on the Assassin's Creed 3 patch can be found on the Ubisoft forums.

The Thanksgiving Day patch is the second sizeable update the console versions have received since launch. A day-one patch fixed countless bugs and glitches.

Assassin's Creed 3 has since been released on the PC, with Ubisoft promising "a less buggy" experience for users.

The European release of the PC version was in jeopardy after a shipment was stolen by thieves.

Ubisoft recently confirmed that it will offer a season pass for Assassin's Creed 3 DLC, which will include new multiplayer maps and the 'Tyranny of King Washington' single-player expansion.
