A mini version of the Nintendo Wii will reportedly go on sale before Christmas.

A leaked memo from an unnamed retailer has the console down for a December 7 launch, suggests Nintendo World Report.

The Wii Mini bundle is said to contain a compact console with a Sensor Bar, Nunchuk and Wii Remote Plus with Jacket.

Nintendo recently confirmed that it has stopped making first-party Wii games, but said that the console still has a lot of potential.

The company suggested that new Wii bundles were inbound, believing that the console would continue to sell at the right price.

Regarding the Wii Mini, Nintendo has refused to comment on rumour and speculation.
