Splash Damage previously worked on multiplayer shooters Brink, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory and Enemy Territory: Quake Wars.
Released early last year, Brink saw mixed reviews from critics for its lack of content and technical issues.
It was subsequently given an expansive patch and free content shortly after release.
