The iOS and Android social game lets players command their own airship and join with friends in groups called brigades to adventure across a world inspired by the Final Fantasy series.
The game will feature a similar art style to Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, and allow players to collect and equip summon stones of key characters from the series to help them in battles.
"In celebration of the franchise's 25th anniversary this year, we strived to create a unique gameplay experience where players can elevate each other through fun, co-operative play," Kenji Kobayashi, executive games director at DeNA, said.
Users can pre-register for the free-to-play game, providing an email alert when the game is available and an exclusive summon stone for Final Fantasy VII's Cloud Strife.
Final Fantasy Airborne Brigade released earlier this year in Japan, and is slated to arrive in North America soon. No European date has been given at this time.
