The Sticker Star launch trailer demonstrates the title's role-playing and platforming gameplay.
The video explores the game's battle system, and shows how stickers can be used to defeat enemies.
It also teases a number of the game's locations, as well as some of the puzzles and boss battles.
The game begins with Bowser disrupting the annual sticker festival and unleashing stickers across the Mushroom Kingdom.
Bowser and his son Bowser Jr will create obstacles by removing parts of the environment that Mario has to restore with stickers.
Players will have to find stickers stuck to the environment throughout the game, which are used in battles as Mario's attacks. Real-world objects can also be found and then turned into stickers for even more powerful abilities.
The game will make full use of its paper theme. For example, Goombas can roll into a cone shape, making them too pointy for Mario to jump on in battles.
Paper Mario: Sticker Star will release on 3DS both at retail and in the eShop from November 11 in North America and December 7 in Europe.
