By
Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch will receive a playable demo later this week, Namco has announced.

Users can download the demo from the North American PlayStation Store on December 4 and from the European store on December 5.

The demo features two playable levels in which players will be able to tackle the Guardian of the Woods boss and Moltaan.

Ni no Kuni follows a 13-year-old boy named Oliver, who is transported to a fantasy world as he embarks on a quest to revive his deceased mother.

The PlayStation 3 RPG is a collaboration between famed animation company Studio Ghibli and Professor Layton creators Level-5.

The game will also be released as the bonus-packed Wizard's Edition, which contains a 300-page hardcover companion book, a plush doll of the character Drippy, and DLC codes for two new familiars.

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch will be available from January 22, 2013 in North America and January 25 for Europe.
