The latest Far Cry 3 trailer, which releases ahead of tomorrow's (December 4) North American launch, focuses on Ubisoft's search for an actor to portray Vaas.
The video sees a Ubisoft representative travel to a psychiatric ward to convince Vaas to record lines for the game.
Shifting from live action to in-game footage, Vaas is then seen delivering one of his trademark monologues.
Announced by Ubisoft last year, Far Cry 3 returns to the tropical setting made famous by the first Far Cry.
The game will feature a four-player co-operative mode, which takes place six months prior to the events of the single-player campaign.
Far Cry 3 is available now on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in Europe and December 4 in North America.
