The packaging, unveiled via the studio's Facebook page, depicts protagonist Raiden slicing an enemy in half.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was officially unveiled at last year's Spike TV Video Game Awards, although the announcement trailer was leaked before the event.
Developed by Bayonetta and Vanquish studio Platinum Games, the hack-and-slash title will support post-launch DLC in the form of new characters and missions.
Konami is expected to formally announce Metal Gear 5 next week following reports that the studio's recently-outed Phantom Pain trailer is in fact footage from a fifth core entry in the series.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on February 22 in Europe and February 19 in North America. A demo version will land in January.
