'Borderlands 2' Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt DLC detailed, screens

Borderlands 2 will receive new DLC titled 'Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt', it has been revealed.

The expansion will reportedly take place on a new jungle continent named Aegrus, and will introduce a new head and skin for each character class, as well as new weapons.

As the name suggests, the DLC revolves around a big game hunt, in which players will attempt to uncover exotic new beasts such as the borok and scaylion.

Containing five story missions and 12 side missions, the DLC also adds a new vehicle and new Seraph items.

The list of new content in full (via Reddit):

One new head and one new skin for each class

A new vehicle – the fanboat (summoned from a Catch-A-Boat station), with 68 of its own skins and corrosive, incendiary, and shock weapon mods

Currently 12 side missions and 5 longer main story missions

A new raid boss ("Imagine, if you will, a Stalker the size of a small building. Now imagine yourself killing it.")

More new Seraph items

New kinds of enemies, like the borok and the scaylion

Lots of monster-tracking side missions assigned by Sir Hammerlock

A new swamp/jungle continent named Aegrus

A self-important but not-so-well-known new enemy who is "super-pumped we're archenemies now", and who leads a tribe of jungle savages and has an evil plan that might actually work

A new treasure room brimming with goodies… but with a time limit

The add-on is the third of four pieces of campaign DLC releasing between now and June 2013.

The first add-on was 'Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty' which released in October.

Each pack costs $9.99 (£6.30) on PC and PS3 and 800 Microsoft Points (£6.80 / $10) on the Xbox 360.

All four pieces of DLC are included in the Season Pass, which can be picked up for $29.99 (£18.90) on PS3 and PC, and 2400 Microsoft Points (£20 / $30) on Xbox 360.
