Ouya user interface, web browser revealed in developer video

By
Ouya's user interface has been revealed in a developer video.

Codezombiegames has provided a walkthrough of the Android console using a pre-release developer unit, showing how to access the game library and the web browser.

It also shows the studio's own game Deadly Dungeons in action, as well as a look at the controller's touch pad.

Last week the Ouya hardware was showcased in a new hands-on video.

Developer kits have been available to game studios for the last few weeks ahead of the system's launch in April.

Ouya is an Android-based gaming system that plugs into a user's television, enabling them to play Android games, apps and new games designed specifically for the device.

Ouya will run on a Tegra 3 quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM, making it comparable in power to the Nexus 7 tablet.

It will support cloud gaming service OnLive at launch, as well as having Final Fantasy III and Robotoki's exclusive Human Element prequel.

Ouya can be pre-ordered from the system's official website with the option of including one, two or four controllers for $109.99 (£70.34), $139.99 (£89.52) and $199.99 (£127.89) respectively.
