IGF 2013 finalists: Kentucky Route Zero, FTL nominated in indie awards

The Independent Games Festival finalists for 2013 have been announced.

Episodic adventure game Kentucky Route Zero is up for the most awards, with a total of four nominations for the Seumas McNally Grand Prize, Excellence In Audio, Excellence In Narrative and Excellence In Visual Art.

Fellow Grand Prize nominees include FTL: Faster Than Light, Cart Life, Little Inferno and Hotline Miami.

Elsewhere, the first ever Excellence in Narrative award includes nominations for Thirty Flights of Loving, Cart Life, Dys4ia and Gone Home.

Last year's IGF winner was Fez, which was named one of Digital Spy's best games of 2012 and will be released on more platforms this year.

A total of 589 games were entered into the 2013 IGF, with a panel of over 200 judges working to recommend finalists in each category.

The 2013 IGF awards will be presented during the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco in March.
