Bloody Palace mode has been a staple of the series since Devil May Cry 2, pitting players in a gauntlet of arena battles against enemies and bosses from the story campaign.
In DmC: Devil May Cry the Bloody Palace will feature over 100 floors, and will only unlock after the story campaign has been completed.
Capcom has not set an exact date for the Bloody Palace title update, only saying that it will be a free download available very shortly after the launch of the game.
DmC: Devil May Cry will reboot the franchise, shifting the setting to a parallel universe with a younger, grittier Dante.
Dante will also partner with new character Kat, a skilled medium and psychic who guides him through her ability to see into Limbo, the demon realm.
The game is being developed by Ninja Theory, the team behind Enslaved: Odyssey To The West.
A demo is available now on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.
DmC: Devil May Cry will release for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on January 15, followed by the PC version on January 25.
