Final update available for Wii browser

Published Thursday, Apr 12 2007, 13:18 BST | By David Gibbon
Nintendo has unveiled the final version of the Opera web browser for Wii featuring a number of updates and improvements.

The new version, which is free for everyone to download until June, offers improvements to the start-up, scroll and zoom speeds, adds Google and Yahoo search tools as well as implementing parental controls.

The Wii browser originally launched in trial form on December 22 last year, but users came up against some irritating limitations. The final version promises increased speed, better bookmarking facilities, clearer fonts and buttons.

Users who fail to download the update by June will be forced to pay 500 points in order to get hold of it.
