Saluting the 20th anniversary since the release of the original Mario game, the song 'Go Mario! (Super Mario Brothers)' was created by Philips in conjunction with music producer Winnine Waldron.
“My music producer Winnie Waldron and I feel that older video games that have helped shape our current industry are an important part of our shared heritage,” Winifred said. “It was an honour and quite thrilling that we were asked to contribute a track to The Best of the Best: A Tribute to Game Music. My hope is that the fans out there will love this piece.”
Winifred’s music will be featured on the album The Best of the Best: A Tribute to Game Music, which will be available exclusively from May 1 at Games Music Central. It will be the first album to highlight top game composers performing music inspired by some of the greatest games ever made. The album also includes music from The Legend of Zelda, Myst III: Exile, World of Warcraft, Metroid Prime, Medal of Honour, Final Fantasy and many others.
