007 Legends nominated in Writers Guild of America games writing award

By
The Writers Guild of America has revealed its nominees for this year's 'Outstanding Achievement in Video Game Writing' award.

The shortlist includes blockbusters such as Halo 4 and Assassin's Creed 3, as well as critically-panned titles such as 007 Legends and Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two.

The nominations have attracted criticism from the games industry, specifically for the omission of Telltale's acclaimed adventure adaptation of The Walking Dead, according to CVG.

However, an explanation for the nominees is that The Writers Guild of America is reserved for those that nominate themselves within certain periods, or who are already members of the committee.

007 Legends developer Eurocom recently closed its doors, while publisher Activision pulled its James Bond releases from online storefronts.
