Requiring a constant internet connection to play, players will interact with nearby player cities to share resources and influence a global economy.

The series saw its debut in 1989, and the franchise has gone on to sell over 30 million copies worldwide.

SimCity will be available for PC and Mac on March 8 in Europe. It is expected to launch on March 5 in North America.
