Monster Hunter 4 for PlayStation Vita?

By
Monster Hunter 4 will be released on the PlayStation Vita, it has been suggested.

A new report suggests that the Nintendo 3DS title was delayed to make way for a Vita version.

"Whilst originally it was said that the delay of MH4 was due to wanting to make a better quality game and graphics, the real reason appears to be that it may be released on the PS Vita to increase sales," reads a report in a Japanese games magazine (via CVG).

Monster Hunter 4 is the follow-up to Monster Hunter Tri G, which was one of the first titles to confirm the use of the 3DS Circle Pad Pro.

The game was recently delayed until summer, with the development team using the additional time to add polish to the 3DS title.

Out now in Japan, Monster Hunter Tri G will launch as Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate when it releases in Europe next year.

The game is an enhanced port of Monster Hunter Tri on Wii, with a multitude of new monsters, quests and items.

It will be available on both the Wii U and 3DS, and will feature online play for up to four players on Wii U, as well as local cross-platform play between the Wii U and 3DS.

Players will also be able to transfer saved data between the two versions.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will release in North America and Europe from March 2013 on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
